Groove Gumbo

Groove Gumbo is a hip eclectic band fronted by Danish drummer, Claes Brondal. The music is rooted in jazz, funk, New York salsa and Nordic folk songs. Groove Gumbo is a musical playground and a collaborative of musicians who performs in various formats from trios to quintets.

Groove Gumbo redefines the concept of time and ties in universal rhythms and harmonies in a musical journey ranging from Northern Europe and Africa to Latin America and the US.

Groove Gumbo is made possible by highly regarded musicians whos musical credits includes Blue Note, Bar 55, Central Park Summer Stage, HearMusic, Starbucks Entertainment, touring and recording sessions with musicians such as Randy Brecker, David Sanchez, Simon Phillips, James Genus, Artie Shaw, Hal McKusick and many others.
